The New Pornographers. Challengers. From the black cab sessions. I just realized that the cab drivers aren't a part of the team. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure that out... I should admit that I originally listened to this band b/c I knew my parents would disapprove of their name, such a misdirected rebel.

Feedback

How do you all feel about the colors? Too dark? Is the font color ok? Sometimes I think it hurts my eyes, but that's usually late at night when they are already hurting...

Uh Huh Her. 'Not a Love Song'. They were in DC a while ago, sadly I missed it. Hope they come back soon.

Morrissey's new single, "I'm Throwing My Arms Around".

New Look. From Canada. Genre: Future Pop. Band Members: Adam Pavao and Sarah Ruba. Sounds: Awesome! If your into indie futureistic stuff. Facebook page. Myspace page. Right now they are on tour in Europe. Yet another reason to move to Europe... You can download some of their songs from their website.

Happy When Im Gone (Album) - Sera Cahoone
Sera Cahoone plays music that reminds me of a dry, hot, lonely night in Georgia, when your sitting on your front porch listening to your neighbors wind chimes and ignoring the fact that you have no neighbors. And certainly there are no windchimes within 10 miles. Check out her myspace for her tour schedule.

Now Now - St. Vincent
St Vincents myspace.
St. Vincent is the band of 25 year old Annie Clark: 'an avid tea drinker,{who} used to hair model, and feels uncomfortable when people use the term, "let's pull the trigger on this." ' You can read up on News and tour dates at her website, I Love St. Vincent. Right now, she is in Australia, but lets hope she makes it over to the U.S. soon!

We Are Gods! We Are Wolves! - Le Loup
The indie alternative band is laden with beats and harmonies. Most of it reminds me of the feeling you get on a chilly day when a beam of sunlight shines into and subsequently warms a room. Still cold, but hopeful.
The band was started by a man named Sam Simkoff, who built it up slowly but surely creating music, adding band mates and creating a name for himself/themselves. You can find out more about them on their site or their myspace, where sadly they seem to be friends with tila tequila, which I have to be slightly disappointed about, but to each his own.
