Matt and Kim, and enthusiastic duo from Brooklyn whose performances could be mistaken for siezures are my new band crush. If you were at Lollopolooza last year you may have seen them, sadly, my back account was too negative at the time for me to attend, I'll just have to catch a different show. Check out their site or their myspace which often has more update show info.

Blikk Fang

MGMT and Of Montreal team up to form Blikk Fang and produce indie psychedelic music. Read the story.

Girl From Another Planet

Not only do I want her hair, I'd like her album too. She is a burst of musical intelligence from Kansas with a catchy and upbeat indie/techno/pop sound.

San Fran Attacks

The Dodos. Now being hyped up by Spin Magazine online as an up and coming San Fran band, they have been on my radar for sometime. Not that I know more about music than Spin, I just heard them on some soundtrack years ago and was hooked. Favorite song of theirs (for now) "Undeclared". Most recently listened to "Men" and its growing on me.

Recently released album Visiter.

And they are on tour now, in Europe and the U.S.
You can check out their tour dates here but sadly they've had all the shows to be had in the U.S.

So the 1st lady of France can sing

I have to say I greatly admire Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. Model turned musician/first lady plus all the crap she's had to put up with about "racy" photos. She always seems cool and collected, an attribute both politicians and models strive for. So far she's produced two albums, one in 2003 Quelqu'un M'a Dit and one this year Comme Si de Rien N'Etait.

something about the beat soothes my sprouting wisdom teeth

Cardinology

Recently Ryan Adams has been posting redone versions of songs using his computer camera and posting them on youtube. My favorite and the most recent is cobwebs. It kind of makes all those losers who record themselves playing guitar in front of their computers seem almost cool.

Heard!

Episode 9 of Season 5 of Entourage. The Knux, "Bang! Bang!" comes on at the end.

And with the release of their new album they are on a roll. Oh, yeah, the new album. :) I'm proud, its called Remind me in three days.  Its got both their singles, "Bang! Bang!" and "Cappuccino".

I'm falling in love with indie rap all over again.

And I kinda want that couch.

Sometimes Sigur Ross Reminds Me Of Coldplay

And this is one of those times.
